Hello World
I typed it once, with trembling hand—
Two words to wake a sleeping land.
No oracles spoke, no stars aligned,
Just silence in the server’s mind.
“Hello, world,” I wrote again—
A spell too plain for mortal men.
The gods, it seems, have left their post;
The code compiles, but not the ghost.
O would that syntax summoned fate,
Or love poured through a ported gate.
But all I found were wires and light,
And truth that hummed but would not write.
